Project Management

Catalyst has considerable experience in managing a wide range of projects. This includes management of projects for the not-for-profit sector in particular including charities and other organisations with progressive social goals. We have also significant experience in managing software development projects and organisations, including advising and assisting with techniques for effective software management. In addition, we also deal with R&D management, management of specific projects (including EU and other international projects), software process improvement, business and legal aspects, people and cultural issues, etc.

Catalyst  also has extensive experience of leading, managing or providing specialist technical resources for software R&D projects, ranging from small in-house development projects up to large muti-company and/or multi-country teams. This experience extends over a 20 year period, and includes a wide range (16+ projects) of EU (IST Framework) and ESA projects, with partners from most other EU member states at one time or another. These projects were generally based around new innovative product development requirements. For many of these projects we have been the overall international project coordinator. So use us to help prepare your next R&D/technology proposal, and/or to manage your project in partnership with you.

Given our experience of undertaking many reviews and evaluations of project proposals, we can use that experience to evaluate your project proposal before submitting it for funding, or to provide an independent 'snap-shot' of the status of a project during its execution, or to assist you in undertaking a post-mortem analysis.
